All about voluptuous petals, razzle dazzle and shimmer of light and early morning paintings…read about my #artcrushxo for this week, Katrina Linn who is featured on my blog this week. Enjoy!
Are there mornings where you wish all you had to do all day was going to a coffee shop, hang out and watch people come and go, daydream, then leisurely go home and do whatever your heart desired? Maybe paint for a while, fold some laundry, maybe sit on the porch and have an iced tea? Sounds heavenly. But maybe, just maybe if I had days like that I would actually accomplish less. I’m sure I would, but maybe, just maybe it wouldn’t matter. Well, that’s certainly not in the cards for me today. Just a starry-eyed dream.
This original 8″x8″ oil painting was donated to the Brighter Day Foundation to auction at a fundraising event.
These adorable little (5″ square) framed watercolor bee paintings are available in my Etsy store. I created some of them for my shop at Building Character in downtown Lancaster and had so much fun making them that I thought I’d make more to put on Etsy. They make super cute valentine gifts. My niece ordered a set of five to hang in her twin’s bedroom as inspiration for them to see every day. Each and every one is handmade and one-of-a-kind with its own quirky and random personality. Bee happy!
I made these adorable little watercolors to sell at Building Character in downtown Lancaster, Pa. They are all one-of-a-kind, handmade watercolors with hand lettering. I think I will make a few to sell in my Etsy shop, too. They are inspired by my friend Lori, from Beebees All Naturals, who is a beekeeper extraordinaire and sells her honey right next to my artwork. Bee happy!
I am happy to have an illustration included in the Uppercase (my favorite magazine #uppercaselove) calendar. It’s a special insert to the magazine where anyone could submit art for one of the square in the calendar (mine’s on April 22). It’s an adorable calendar full of inspiration and cute illustrations to color. Happy me!
