original food painting

Finding time in life to do what you love it so challenging. So overwhelming. So crucial. I think I must be crazy to get up early every day to paint when I could be doing more important things…like working out…or doing laundry. Right? Getting things done that are piling up on my to-do list instead of doing what my heart wants to do. “They” say that you won’t die wishing you had done more laundty. But then the pile gets so damn big that you feel overwhelmed. With laundry and everything else. I was feeling this way this week. Like I really should cut back on the painting and maybe get more much needed sleep (or perhaps taking a writing class, because this is the part I am so bad at).

A Swipe To The Right

When I’m feeling discouragedĀ all I ever need is one little boost to let me know I’m doing what I’m meant to be doing every morning, no matter how tired I may feel. I opened up my email and found out I was chosen as Judge’s Pick winner of the January 2017 DPW Monthly Contest for my Market Tomato painting (one that I personally adore, to boot!) With that I get the opportunity to be a featured artist on their website for the month of February. Yeah! So it’s a swipe in the right direction. Guess that meansĀ I will march on toward wherever this crazy journey is leading me. You can check out their website here.

Thank for your continued love and support. Wishing you some great swipes to the right!
