I'm knee deep in working on my 2020 calendar. It's a labor of love every year that I look forward to. I get the opportunity to do two of the things that I love and combine them, painting and design. I don’t know if you know this about me, but I have had a marketing and design firm for over 27 years, TCG Design.

Like many artists I took the “practical route” and went to school for graphic design rather than fine art, and now I’m happy to say that I am doing both. But I do wish I had taken painting classes in college, but you live and you learn, right? And better late than never…

But my graphic design background does show through in my art, and it certainly comes in handy for branding and for design of things like my calendar. Because I can make it completely unique, which I love.

This year my calendar is all about fruit, all kinds of colorful, luscious fruit. These lemons may just make the cover, if they’re lucky. So as my paintings are being scanned and I am getting it ready for the printer (I get them printed locally), I could use your help...
