Cozy cardinal oil painting demo

I was thinking about what I call the messy middle of a painting this morning, so I experimented with creating a “messier than usual” middle so I could have some fun on the journey out of that messy middle. I love how spontaneous and loose this one ended up. I hope you enjoy seeing the process as much as I enjoyed creating this sweet guy. Now what should we name him?
