Happiest of New Years to you!
I’m not sure if I’m very good a new years resolutions...sometimes I think they put too much pressure on me right out of the gate to the new year...but a few new years goals sounds somehow a bit more doable, don’t you think?
After all, it is a time for reflection and for new beginnings...
First of all I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support of my journey...whether you are a collector, a student, or one of those friends who constantly keeps my spirit up, even when the times get tough. I appreciate you and wouldn’t be doing this without you. It really is a labor of love.
First my reflections of this past year.
It was more than I could have imagined...
From my in-person class at Square Pear Gallery last winter, where I will be teaching again in February of this year, and I hope you will join me!
To a trip of a lifetime to teach at Perigord Retreats in France (talk about jumping out of my comfort zone!) and all of the priceless memories and friends that I made. And…just in case you’d like to join me next time, I’ll be teaching again in June of 2025!
To participating in more than eight outdoor art shows with record sales and new collectors, plus the honor of being on the board of the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show for the first time,
To being interviewed on two podcasts
And I can’t even imagine what 2024 might hold...
So what are your goals for 2024?
I think a good plan is to set one pie in the sky, shoot for the stars goal, set three just out of reach goals and maybe one or two goals that are attainable easily just to get me started. What do you say, are you in?
My shoot for the stars goal is to get my work in a new gallery. My work is represented in three, but an additional gallery would move me in a good direction. That means putting myself out there, which is always a bit daunting...do you know of any you think I might be a good fit for?
Another goals is to paint big and lots, because the key to success is practice.
I also need to apply to outdoor shows for 2024 and getting into a new, bigger show would be fabulous!
Another goal is to make plans for fun activities for my Inspiring Art Group, if you’d like to join us you can find out more about it here:
I wish you confidence and fearless creativity for the year ahead!
