I’m back from the trip of a lifetime! Eleven days with great friends, amazing food, crazy adventures and fabulous wine…it was better than I ever imagined it would be!

We spent time in Lake Como, Rome and Positano and I honestly couldn’t choose a favorite…place…meal…or bottle of wine.

We filled each and every day with adventures…trips to small charming towns, boat tours, bike rides, the parthenon, sistine chapel, pompeii, swims in the mediterranean sea, private beaches that you can only get to by boat, Capri, Ravello…

And now it’s time to come back to real life :…relaxed, inspired and ready to dive back in (well, maybe not relaxed :)

I’ll be honest, it’s been tricky getting back in the groove, but I was absolutely ready to get back to the easel. The artwork on Italy is awe-inspiring, how they painted what they did on chapel ceilings without the aid of projectors and digital reference amazes and inspired me.

I think the lesson I learned from this is how important it is to pause, get out of the studio and be inspired.
