Resting & Recharging
It was a wonderful, busy, crazy holiday season. Thank you for all of your support. Whether you are a collector of my art, a student/friend of my courses or you are cheering me on through my journey, I am eternally grateful. Now it's time to pause and reflect, to take some time to rest and recharge. I have a list a mile long of all the things I want to do when I have extra time on my hands. It will be a week that will go by in the blink of an eye. What's on your free time wish list? Here are a few of mine…
Knitting used to be a favorite activity of mine. In college I would often knit my own sweaters and gloves. When my children were young I knit sweaters and blankets for them. But you know how it is, life gets too busy to fit in all of the things you enjoy. So this year I treated myself to a knitting project for next week. I'm going to knit the nimbus cowl, a beautiful scarf in these gorgeous pink yarns. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!
Every year my family does a puzzle together the week between Christmas and New Year's and this one was the winner for this year. The description said: A chromatic jigsaw puzzle perfect for the CMYK connoisseur. That's me for sure! My family is not all together this year so this one may take longer than usual, but it's always a nice relaxing way to spend time together!
And then there are these gorgeous cookies from Arlos Cookies who I follow on Instagram. They offer online cookie classes to learn to make this and I am so in! Don’t the look like so much fun?!?
And then there’s always the hope for time to paint, time to read, maybe even watch a movie. And I don’t want to fill my entire week with to-do’s but I think maybe I just did. After feeling a bit tired and uninspired, spending time doing fun activities with no pressure, or just spending time doing absolutely nothing, I hope you float into the new year feeling inspired to create a year filled with inspiration, fearlessness, confidence, peace, love and a bit of magic mixed in. So what’s on your “resting & recharging to-do list” ?
