Wander with wonder
Looking for what creates a sense of wonder...of seeing something anew, as if for the first time. Stopping in your tracks, in the busyness of your life, if only for a moment—to pause and look more closely. To notice the details, or the colors, or better yet, the feeling that maybe you never noticed before. Taking the time to let your eyes wander. This is our goal as artists and my goal as the viewer, both in life and in art. I wish you the time to wander with wonder...embrace the pure beauty of creating. And seeing.
Take some time to stop and think and look and feel today. And again tomorrow. After a while you won’t know how you ever lived without it.
As usual, my advice to myself, in art and in life :)
In this painting I was focusing on bright splashes of color surrounded by soft neutral colors, to really enhance the feeling. I wandered with wonder through the creation of these spray roses from Central Market Lancaster. So beautiful!
