Don't think too much!

Creativity comes in all shapes and sizes. For me, creativity is the pause in the chaos when my mind can wander freely and play. When the craziness and busyness of the day melts away, even if ever so briefly. It’s when all the thoughts, or ideas that are endlessly rolling around are able to calm enough to let the gems of ideas that need your undivided attention, shine through the clutter.

Creativity can be painting, writing, creating music, problem-solving, raising children, cooking, gardening…it shows up for you when you are doing something you love, something that brings you joy. It’s always there just waiting for you to pause long enough to listen. And the more you listen the more creativity grows.

Find time to let you mind wander freely. Will you pause for creativity today?

One of the activities I would like to do in my upcoming Inspiring Art Collective, is to create art without using your conscious mind, to practice art with feeling rather than thinking…with that childlike sense of wonder…doesn’t that sound amazing?
